It is described a method for producing and stacking lamina elements (310) in an aligned manner, in particular lamina elements (310) for a stator of an electrical generator. The method comprises (a) cutting out a first lamina element (210, 310) from a foil (105), (b) transferring the first lamina element (210, 310) to a container (340) by utilizing the gravitational force, (c) cutting out a second lamina element (210, 310) from the foil (105) or from a further foil, and (d) transferring the second lamina element (210, 310) to the container (340) on top of the first lamina element (210, 310) by utilizing the gravitational force. It is further described a cutting machine for producing lamina elements, a container for stacking lamina elements in an aligned manner and a system for producing and stacking lamina elements in an aligned manner.
