A pharmaceutical composition includes erythromycin A or a derivative thereof and alginic acid. The alginic acid provides taste masking of the erythromycin A or derivative. The erythromycin A derivative may be clarithromycin and the alginic acid may be one or both of alginic acid and its salt. The salt may be one or more of sodium alginate and calcium alginate. The pharmaceutical composition may further include one or more of a binder, a disintegrant, a flavoring agent, and a coating. The pharmaceutical composition also may include one or more active ingredients, including omeprazole, metronidazole, amoxicillin, rifampicin, lansoprazole, ciprofloxacin, ethambutol, and ritonavir. The erythromycin A or a derivative thereof and the one or more active ingredients may be combined in a single pharmaceutical composition.
La présente invention concerne une composition pharmaceutique contenant de l'érithromycine A, ou un dérivé de ce composé, et de l'acide alginique. L'acide alginique permet de masquer le goût de l'érithromycine A ou de son dérivé. Le dérivé d'érithromycine A peut être de la clarithromycine et l'acide alginique peut être de l'acide alginique proprement dit ou son sel ou encore à la fois une association de cet acide et de son sel. Le sel peut être un ou plusieurs composés sélectionnés parmi l'alginate de sodium et l'alginate de calcium. La composition pharmaceutique peut par ailleurs contenir un ou plusieurs composés tels qu'un liant, un délitant, un aromatisant et un agent d'enrobage. La composition pharmaceutique peut également contenir un ou plusieurs ingrédients actifs, du type oméprazole, métronidazole, amoxicilline, rifampicine, lansoprazole, ciprofloxacine, éthambutol, et ritonavir. L'érithromycine A ou un dérivé de ce composé ainsi que l'ingrédient actif ou les ingrédients actifs peuvent être combinés dans une composition pharmaceutique unique.
