A vehicle license plate that comprises a generally thin planer sheet of semi- rigid material having a front portion with a display surface thereon, means to releasably secure the planer sheet of semi-rigid material to a vehicle, and communication means to convey information contained on the display surface to the driver of a vehicle positioned in front of the vehicle to which the license plate is secured. The communication means permits the driver of a vehicle positioned in front of the vehicle to which the license plate is secured to read information on the display surface through glancing in the rear view mirror of the in front vehicle.
