A silicon compound containing an epoxy group which is obtainable by subjecting at least one alkoxy silicon compound containing an epoxy group represented by a general formula (1a): R1aSi(OR2)3, wherein R1arepresents a substituent having an epoxy group and R2 represents an alkyl group having four or less carbon atoms, by itself, or said compound and at least one substituted alkoxy silicon compound represented by a general formula (1b): R1bSi(OR3)3, wherein R1b represents an alkyl group having ten or less carbon atoms, an aryl group or an unsaturated aliphatic residue, and R3 represents an alkyl group having four or less carbon atoms, to a condensation reaction in the presence of a basic catalyst.
La présente invention concerne un composé de silicium contenant un groupe époxy, qu'il est possible d'obtenir en soumettant, à une réaction de condensation en présence d'un catalyseur basique, au moins un composé de silicium-alkoxy contenant un groupe époxy représenté par la formule générale (1a): R<sb>1a</sb> Si (OR<sb>2</sb>)<sb>3</sb>, dans laquelle R<sb>1a</sb> représente un substituant ayant un groupe époxy et R<sb>2</sb> représente un groupe alkyle ayant au plus quatre atomes de carbone, isolément, ou ledit composé et au moins un composé de silicium-alkoxy substitué représenté par la formule générale (1b): R<sb>1b</sb> Si (OR<sb>3</sb>)<sb>3</sb>, dans laquelle R<sb>1b</sb> représente un groupe alkyle ayant au plus dix atomes de carbone, un groupe aryle ou un résidu aliphatique insaturé, et R<sb>3</sb> représente un groupe alkyle ayant au plus quatre atomes de carbone.
