An apparatus (10) for molding a metal material. The apparatus includes a vessel (12) with portions defining a passageway through the vessel. An inlet (18) is located toward one end and a member (26) or agitation me ans is located within the passageway. A plurality of heaters (23) are located a length of the vessel. The first of the heaters is located imediately downstream of the inlet and is a low frequency induction coil heater whereby the temperature gradient through the vessel's sidewall is minimized.

Cette invention concerne un appareil de moulage (10) pour matériaux métalliques. Cet appareil comprend un récipient (12) dont les diverses parties définissent un passage dans ledit récipient. On trouve une entrée (18) vers une des extrémité et un élément (26) ou un dispositif d'agitation à l'intérieur du passage. Plusieurs éléments chauffants (23) sont disposés le long du récipient. Le premier de ces éléments chauffants se trouve immédiatement en aval de l'entrée et est constitué par une bobine d'induction basse fréquence, ce qui permet de réduire le gradient de température à travers la paroi latérale du récipient.
