The present invention is an apparatus (10) for inserting yarns (Y) into a reinforcement material along their longitudinal path. The apparatus includes devices for moving yam and for constraining yam movement, such as yam brakes (48, 56), each actuated at the appropriate time, plus a device for preventing the yarn from buckling, such as a hollow member (20) of a diameter only slightly greater than the yam, when the yam is pushed on. The reinforcement material may be woven or non-woven fabrics, cellular foams, or combinations that may include fabrics, foams or air gaps. "Yarn" in this case is taken to include any textile yarn, monofilament, coated yarns, and the like.

L'invention concerne un mécanisme (10) d'insertion de fil (Y) dans un matériau de renforcement le long d'un trajet longitudinal. Le mécanisme comporte un système de déplacement de fil et un système de freinage de ce déplacement, du type frein à fil (48, 56), chaque système étant actionné au moment approprié, plus un système empêchant la formation de boucles dans le fil (du type élément creux (20) de diamètre seulement légèrement supérieur à celui du fil) lorsque le fil est poussé, à l'insertion. Le matériau de renforcement peut être du tissu tissé ou non tissé, de la mousse cellulaire, ou toute combinaison qui peut comprendre du tissu, de la mousse ou des alvéoles d'air. En l'occurrence, "le fil" s'entend de tout fil textile, monofilament, fil revêtu et autre type de fil.
