Procédé de fabrication de plaques de plâtre présentant une densité de coeur inférieure à 0,77, comprenant les étapes de la formation d'une mousse à partir d'eau et d'un tensioactif consistant en au moins un alkylsulfate de formule H(CH¿2?)¿n?OSO¿3??-¿M¿+?, dans laquelle n est un nombre entre 6 et 16, M est un cation monovalent, et le nombre moyen d'atomes de carbone n¿m? est de 9 à 10, et l'introduction de la mousse obtenue dans une pâte de plâtre, caractérisé en ce que la quantité de tensioactif introduit n'excède pas 0,32g/l de pâte de plâtre.
