An adsorbent package or packet (20) is mounted on a filter (22) or bleed nipple that is, in turn, attached to a bight tube (16) or other fluid flow conduit in an automobile or truck accumulator (2) or receiver dryer. A centrally disposed opening (60) is provided in adsorbent package (20) and is surrounded by a rigid collar (62). The opening (60) is dimensioned so that it will be forced or snap fit over a flange (24) or the like on filter (22).
