The present invention relates to compounds of the formula (see formula I) to pharmaceutical compositions and kits containing them and to their medicinal use wherein A is a substituted pyridinyl; R1 is an optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl, an optionally substituted phenyl, optionally substituted heterocyclic, optionally substituted carbocyclic or fused rings of the phenyl, heterocycle, and carbocycle, R3 is hydrogen, halo, cyano, nitro, amino, formyl, optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, heterocycle or carbocycle and R5 is hydrogen, halo, hydroxy, mercapto, optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cyano, formyl, amino, heteroaryl, heterocycle or carbocycle. The compounds of the invention are useful in the treatment of inflammation and other inflammation associated disorders, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, colon cancer and Alzheimer's disease, in mammal (preferably humans, dogs, cats and livestock).
