A low noise amplifier circuit provides high gain and an input impedance matching a source output impedance by combining two amplifiers having different operational characteristics in parallel. The amplifier circuit includes a first amplifier having an input impedance matching a source and a gain less than a system requirement and a second amplifier having a gain meeting the system requirement and an input impedance substantially higher than the input impedance for the first amplifier, the second amplifier being connected in parallel to the first amplifier. The first amplifier includes an input and an output and the second amplifier includes an input and an output, the input to the first amplifier and the input to the second amplifier being connected to the source. A summer is provided for combining an output signal from the first amplifier with an output of the second amplifier. The input impedance of the first amplifier and the input impedance of the second amplifier provide an effective circuit impedance equal to an output impedance of the source. The first and the second amplifier include low noise RF amplifiers. Thus, the first and second amplifier provide an effective gain meeting the system requirement and an effective input impedance matching an output impedance of the source.
L'invention concerne un circuit amplificateur à faible bruit qui assure un gain élevé et une impédance d'entrée correspondant à l'impédance de sortie d'une source grâce à la combinaison en parallèle de deux amplificateurs présentant des caractéristiques de fonctionnement différentes. Ce circuit amplificateur comprend un premier amplificateur dont l'impédance d'entrée correspondant à une source et dont le gain est inférieur aux exigences du système et un second amplificateur dont le gain répond aux exigence du système et dont l'impédance d'entrée est sensiblement plus élevée que l'impédance d'entrée du premier amplificateur, le second amplificateur étant connecté en parallèle avec le premier amplificateur. Le premier et le second amplificateur comprennent chacun une entrée et une sortie, l'entrée du premier amplificateur et l'entrée du second amplificateur étant connectés à la source. Un sommateur combine le signal de sortie du premier amplificateur avec une sortie du second amplificateur. L'impédance d'entrée du premier amplificateur et l'impédance d'entrée du second amplificateur donnent une impédance effective de circuit égale à l'impédance de sortie de la source. Le premier et le second amplificateur comprennent des amplificateurs H.F. à faible bruit. Ainsi le premier et le second amplificateur assurent un gain effectif répondant aux exigences du système et une impédance d'entrée effective correspondant à l'impédance de sortie de la source.
