A method of making cellular polyurethane material comprises reacting an organic polyisocyanate with an essentially hydroxyl terminated polyester and/or polyether polyol in the presence of 10 % - 100 % by weight (based on the polyol) of an alkanolamine salt of polymerized fatty acids (monomer 0-80 wt.%; dimer 10-100 wt.%; trimer 0-75 wt.%) and an inert (preferably halogen- free), stable, vaporizable blowing agent. Also a cellular polyurethane material is claimed and the use of the alkanolamine salt as a multifunctional additive in the manufacture of cellular polyurethane material.

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de fabrication de matériau polyuréthane cellulaire, dans lequel un polyisocyanate organique réagit avec un polyol de polyester et/ou de polyéther essentiellement hydroxylé, en présence de 10 à 100 % en poids (avec le polyol comme référence) d'un sel alcanolamine d'acides gras polymérisés (monomère 0-80 % en poids; dimère 10-100 % en poids; trimère 0-75 % en poids) et d'un agent gonflant vaporisable, stable et inerte (de préférence dépourvu d'halogène). L'invention décrit un matériau polyuréthane cellulaire ainsi que l'utilisation d'un sel alcanolamine comme additif à fonctions multiples dans la fabrication du matériau polyuréthane cellulaire.
