Provided is a method for treating ocular hypertension and glaucoma, which comprises administrating an effective amount of 15-keto-prostaglandin compound having a ring structure at the end of the .omega. chain to the eyes of a mammalian subject in need of such treatment once a day. According to the method, single administration of the compound effectively lower the IOP of the subject throughout the day.
