The water-resistant or waterproof zipper includes first and second profiles which are interlocked or separated by the movement of a slider. The first sidewall of the slider is generally planar while the second sidewall is generally curved so that the sidewalls are relatively closer together at the closing end and generally further apart at the opening end. A triangular island and separating plow are formed at the opening end to separate the first and second profiles. The slider includes various channels which engage corresponding rails in the profiles in order to properly position the profiles. The slider further includes various protrusions and a flange to properly position the profiles.
La fermeture à glissière résistante à l'eau ou étanche objet de la présente invention comporte un premier et un second profil entrecroisés ou séparés par le mouvement d'une glissière. Le premier côté de la glissière est généralement plat tandis que le deuxième côté est incurvé de sorte que ces deux côtés sont normalement plus proches l'un de l'autre au niveau de l'extrémité de la fermeture et plus éloignées au niveau de l'ouverture. Une partie triangulaire et un élément de séparation en biseau sont formés au niveau de l'ouverture afin de séparer le premier et le deuxième profil. La glissière comprend plusieurs canaux qui engagent les rails correspondant dans les profils afin de positionner correctement ces profils. La glissière comprend également diverses saillies ainsi qu'une bride pour positionner correctement les profils.
