A polyester production system employing a vertically elongated esterification reactor. The esterification reactor of the present invention is an improvement over conventional CSTR esterification reactors because, for example, in one embodiment, the reactor requires little or no mechanical agitation. Further, in one embodiment, the positioning of the inlets and outlets of the reactor provides improved operational performance and flexibility over CSTRs of the prior art.
L'invention concerne un système de production de polyester utilisant un réacteur d'estérification allongé verticalement. Le réacteur d'estérification de la présente invention constitue une amélioration par rapport aux réacteurs d'estérification CSTR conventionnels car, par exemple, dans un mode de réalisation, le réacteur nécessite peu d'agitation mécanique ou n'en nécessite aucune. En outre, dans un mode de réalisation, le positionnement des entrées et sorties du réacteur offre une meilleure performance et flexibilité lors du fonctionnement par rapport aux réacteurs CSTR de l'art antérieur.
