A modifiable jewelry piece including a strand and one or more adjustable retainers. The adjustable retainers include an interior structure configured to establish a frictional engagement with the outer surface of the strand. The jewelry piece wearer may select the location of the placement of the adjustable retainer anywhere along the length of the strand. The interior structure may be a solid or semi-solid having high surface tension or rough surface profile. The interior structure may alternatively be a mechanical capturing device. The jewelry piece also includes one or two end connectors having a slot and flange arrangement for easy passage of beads thereover only when desired. The flange and slot are arranged for alignment with threaded and flanged beads.
L~invention concerne une pièce de joaillerie modifiable comprenant un brin et un ou plusieurs systèmes de retenue réglables. Les systèmes de retenue réglables comportent une structure intérieure configurée pour établir un engagement par friction avec la surface externe du brin. Le porteur de la pièce de joaillerie peut sélectionner l~emplacement du système de retenue réglable en tout point de la longueur du brin. La structure intérieure peut être solide ou semi-solide avec une tension superficielle élevée ou un profil superficiel rugueux. La structure intérieure peut également être un dispositif de capture mécanique. La pièce de joaillerie comporte également un ou deux connecteurs d~extrémité ayant une disposition à fente et bride pour faciliter le passage des cordons au-dessus de ceux-ci uniquement au moment voulu. La bride et la fente sont configurées pour s~aligner avec les cordons filetés et bridés.
