Abstract of the Disclosure A water-soluble salt of dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate is dissolved in an aqueous solution of a compound selected from the group consisting of dextran, macrogol, a neutral amino acid, a basic amino acid, an alkali metal salt of a weak acid, a solid amine, and mixtures thereof and then the resulting mixture is lyophilized. The product is stable on storage for a long period of time and easily soluble in water upon use for parenteral administration.
