A longitudinally curved adjustable bone plate comprising a first plate having an end defined by at least two spaced prongs, and an end having means to fasten the plate to a body structure, e.g., the bone; and a second plate having an end defined by at least two straight bores for receiving the prongs, and an end having means to fasten the plate to a body structure, e.g., a bone; and a locking assembly for locking the prongs in the bores and fixing the overall length of the plate. Also, longitudinal plates and center plates which can be releasably joined using connecting rods to form slidable bone plate assemblies comprising one or more windows, and methods for applying such longitudinal plates, center plates, connecting rods and assemblies to broken bones of a patient.
L'invention concerne une longue plaque vissée ajustable incurvée comprenant une première plaque ayant une extrémité définie par au moins deux broches espacées et une extrémité ayant un moyen permettant de fixer la plaque à une structure corporelle, notamment l'os ; une deuxième plaque ayant une extrémité définie par au moins deux orifices droits permettant de recevoir les broches et une extrémité ayant un moyen permettant de fixer la plaque à une structure corporelle, notamment un os et enfin un ensemble de verrouillage permettant de verrouiller les broches dans les orifices et de fixer la longueur hors tout de la plaque. L'invention concerne également des plaques longitudinales et des plaques centrales qui peuvent être assemblées de manière amovible à l'aide de barres de connexion pour former des ensembles plaque vissées coulissantes comportant au moins une fenêtre et des procédés permettant d'appliquer de telles plaques longitudinales, plaques centrales, barres de connexion et ensembles sur des os fracturés d'un patient.
