A system and method for the auction and tender (402) of complex multi-variable commodities (403), which are defined as commodities having a plurality of characteristics with each characteristic's value contributing to the determination of the commodity price (405). The system and method are implemented using an exception handling process whereby a tender participant requests exceptions to the terms and conditions of the original tender (404). The original tender serves as the baseline tender all participants bid on (408). Exceptions are changes that are priced in addition to the baseline bid. The winner can execute accepted exceptions for an additional fee (417).
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé d'offre et de vente aux enchères (402) de produits (403) complexes à variables multiples, définis comme des produits présentant une pluralité de caractéristiques, chaque valeur de caractéristique contribuant à la détermination du prix (405) du produit. Le système et le procédé sont mis en oeuvre à l'aide d'un procédé de traitement d'exceptions, qui permet à un participant faisant une offre de demander des exceptions quant à l'échéance et aux conditions de l'offre originale (404). L'offre originale sert d'offre de base à partir de laquelle tous les participants font une enchère (408). Les exceptions sont des modifications dont le prix s'ajoute à l'offre de base.
