A method and a device for making a metered dry powder medication dose, enclosed in a dose container, accessible for inhalation with a minimum of exposure to ambient atmosphere. The invention relates to a single dose inhaler, which is provided with a movable inhaler member, a so called slide, which has at least one matching receptacle adapted for receiving a selected type of dose container. The slide is movable between a first, protuding position, where the receptacle(s) is accessible for loading of a sealed dose container by a user, and a second, retracted position inside the inhaler.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif pour permettre l'inhalation d'une dose de médicament sous forme de poudre sèche dosée, logée dans un contenant-dose, avec un minimum d'exposition à l'atmosphère ambiante. L'invention concerne également un inhalateur monodose, pourvu d'un élément inhalateur mobile, à savoir un "élément coulissant", qui présente au moins un logement adapté pour recevoir un type sélectionné de contenant-dose. Cet élément coulissant peut se déplacer entre une première position saillante, dans laquelle le logement est accessible pour le chargement par l'utilisateur d'un contenant-dose scellé, et une deuxième position rétractée à l'intérieur de l'inhalateur.
