A control system is disclosed for determining an actual temperature of a light emitting diode. The control system uses conductor that supply power to the light emit-ting diode to supply a pulse to the light emitting diode. The pulse is de-termined along with a reaction caused by the pulse and the informa-tion gained is used in determination of the light emitting diode die tem-perature which can then be used in controlling current to the light emit-ting diode to control the temperature of the light emitting diode.

La présente invention concerne un système de contrôle qui permet de déterminer une température réelle d'une diode électroluminescente. Le système de contrôle utilise un conducteur qui fournit de l'énergie électrique à la diode électroluminescente de sorte à envoyer une impulsion à la diode électroluminescente. L'impulsion est déterminée conjointement à une réaction provoquée par l'impulsion. Les informations obtenues sont utilisées pour déterminer la température de puce de la diode électroluminescente qui peut ensuite être utilisée pour contrôler le courant fourni à la diode électroluminescente de sorte à contrôler la température de la diode électroluminescente.
