The invention concerns a method for accessing and displaying video electronic mail and multimedia sequences via a wide telecommunication network using a simple telephone not adapted to display any video or multimedia data, said telephone may be a cell phone or a mere analog telephone. The invention also concerns a video and multimedia interfacing arrangement to connect at least a display device, for example a television screen type device, to at least a video source, characterized in that it comprises essentially a processing unit adapted to display any type of real-time or recorded video flow, store it, record it and/or send it over a telecommunication network and at least a screen interface for connection to a local area or wide area network.
La présente invention concerne un procédé pour accéder et afficher des courriers électroniques vidéo et des séquences multimédias via un réseau de télécommunication étendu en utilisant un simple téléphone incapable d'afficher la moindre donnée vidéo ou multimédia, ce téléphone pouvant être cellulaire ou simple téléphone analogique. La présente invention concerne également un agencement d'interfaçage vidéo et multimédia pour relier au moins un dispositif d'affichage, par exemple un dispositif de type écran de télévision, à au moins une source vidéo, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend essentiellement, d'une part, une unité de traitement adaptée pour afficher tout type de flux vidéo en temps réel ou différé, de le stocker, de l'enregistrer et/ou de l'envoyer sur un réseau de télécommunication et, d'autre part, au moins une interface d'écran, et une interface de connexion à un réseau local ou étendu.
