The invention relates to a catalytic method for treating an H2S/SO2 mixture for producing liquid sulphur, said method comprising the following steps: a) at least one step of heating the mixture containing SO2 and .ETA.2S to a temperature Tc; b) at least one step of catalytically reacting the heated mixture obtained in a) in the presence of at least one catalyst and at least one step of recovering the exiting mixture containing gaseous sulphur; and c) at least one step of converting the gaseous sulphur contained in the exiting mixture obtained at step b) into liquid sulphur, said method being characterized in that, between step b) and step c), the temperature Ts of said exiting mixture and the dew point Tr of the gaseous sulphur contained in said exiting mixture are measured and in that the heating temperature Tc of step a) is adjusted so that the temperature Ts is 5°C to 30°C above the dew point Tr.
L'invention concerne un procédé catalytique destiné à traiter un mélange d'H2S et de SO2 pour produire du soufre liquide, ledit procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes : a) au moins une étape de chauffage à une température Tc du mélange contenant le SO2 et l'.ETA.2S, b) au moins une étape de mise en réaction catalytique du mélange chauffé obtenu en a) en présence d'au moins un catalyseur et au moins une étape de récupération du mélange de sortie contenant du soufre gazeux, c) au moins une étape de transformation du soufre gazeux contenu dans le mélange de sortie obtenu à l'étape b) en soufre liquide, ledit procédé étant caractérisé en ce que, entre l'étape b) et l'étape c), les températures Ts dudit mélange de sortie et Tr de rosée du soufre gazeux contenu dans ledit mélange de sortie sont mesurées, et en ce que la température Tc de chauffage de l'étape a) est ajustée de façon à ce que la température Ts soit supérieure à celle de rosée Tr de 5~C à 30~C.
