Abstract of the Disclosure Novel imidazopyridine derivatives of the formula I Image I in which R is Image and R1 to R4 X and Y are as defined in Claim 1, and their salts have antagonistic properties towards angiotensin II and can be used for the treatment of hypertension, aldosteronism, cardiac insufficiency and increased intraocular pressure and also disorders of the central nervous system.
