Tricyclic derivatives of ocathydroisoquinoline of formula (I), wherein n is zero or 1 and if n is zero, one of X or Y is NH, oxygen or sulphur, and the other is NH, CH or a R4- or R5-substituted carbon atom; if n is 1, then X and Y are both nitrogen, or one of them is nitrogen and the other is CH or an R4- or R5-substituted carbon atom, have selective receptor agonist or antagonist activity, and are of potential therapeutic utility as analgesics or immunomodulating and/or cardiovascular agents.

Dérivés tricycliques d'octahydroisoquinoline de formule (I), dans laquelle n vaut zéro ou 1 et, si n vaut zéro, X ou Y représente NH, oxygène ou soufre, et l'élément restant représente NH, CH ou un atome de carbone substitué par R4 ou R5; si n vaut 1, X et Y représentent tous deux azote, ou l'un d'entre eux représente azote et l'autre CH ou un atome de carbone substitué par R4 ou R5. Ces dérivés présentent une activité agoniste ou antagoniste sélective par rapport aux récepteurs, et sont thérapeutiquement utiles comme analgésiques ou agents immunomodulateurs et/ou cardiovasculaires potentiels.
