Medical protective wraps made of a liquid impermeable, stretchable polymeric material which provide a watertight seal, a barrier to protect wounds from contamination due to dirt, microbes, or infiltration of water during bathing while not constructing blood flow to the healing tissue. The protective wraps comprise a liquid impermeable stretchable polymeric sheet (4) of a sufficient length to wrap around the body part at least once. Positioned along opposing peripheral edges (6, 8) of the polymeric sheet (4) are sealing cuffs (16) having reduced stretchability relative to the sheet. There are first, and second terminal edges (12, 14) running transverse to the longitudinal axis of the peripheral edges. A fastener is attached to the first terminal edge which secures the sheet to the body, and the second terminal is fastened to the sheet after at least one wrapping of the sheet is around the body part.
L'invention concerne des pansements médicaux protecteurs constitués d'une matière polymère étirable imperméable au liquide formant un joint et une barrière étanche à l'eau afin de protéger des lésions contre la contamination par les saletés, les microbes ou l'infiltration d'eau pendant le bain, sans restreindre le flux sanguin vers le tissu cicatrisant. Le pansement protecteur comprend une feuille polymère (4) étirable imperméable au liquide d'une longueur suffisante pour s'enrouler autour d'une partie du corps au moins une fois. Des manchons d'étanchéité (16) présentant une capacité d'étirement réduite par rapport à la feuille sont positionnés le long des bords périphériques opposés (6, 8) de ladite feuille polymère (4). On a prévu des premier et second bords terminaux (12, 14) s'étendant transversalement par rapport à l'axe longitudinal des bords périphériques. Une attache est fixée au premier bord terminal lequel fixe la feuille au corps, et le second bord terminal est attaché à la feuille après que l'on ait enveloppé la partie du corps avec la feuille au moins une fois.
