A flexographic printing plate (34') having solid image areas (36') which are covered by a plurality of very small and shallow cells (38) similar to the ink carrying cells (42) found in anilox ink metering rolls (40). These cells (38) fill with ink (39) during the plate inking step and reproduce solid image areas (36') with better color saturation while at the same time reducing the halo typical of flexographic printing of solids. Associated with this plate (34') is a method for producing the cells (38), including the use of an intermediate screened film and of a computer program for generating the film intermediate.
L'invention concerne une plaque d'impression flexographique (34') pourvue de zones d'image pleines (36') recouvertes par une pluralité de cellules (38) très petites et superficielles. Ces cellules (38) ressemblent aux cellules porteuses d'encre (42) que l'on trouve dans des rouleaux intermédiaires d'encrage (40) destinés au dosage de l'encre. Elles se remplissent d'encre (39) pendant l'étape d'encrage de la plaque, et reproduisent des zones d'image pleines (36') avec une saturation de couleur améliorée tout en réduisant l'auréole caractéristique de l'impression flexographique de compositions pleines. Un procédé associé à cette plaque (34') et destiné à produire ces cellules consiste à utiliser un film tramé intermédiaire et un programme informatique pour produire ce film intermédiaire.
