Trace quantities of polynuclear aromatic compounds are removed from the vapor effluent of a hydrocarbon dehydrogenation zone containing normally gaseousolefinic hydrocarbons, trace mononuclear aromatic compounds and trace polynuclear aromatic compounds by cooling the vapor effluent to condense at least a portion thereof, up to five weight percent, and by introducing the resulting cooled stream into avapor-liquid separator to produce a vapor stream containing normally gaseous olefinic hydrocarbons and having a reduced concentration of polynuclear aromatic compounds and a liquid stream containing mononuclear and polynuclear aromatic compounds.
On élimine des traces de composés aromatiques polynucléaires présents dans l'effluent gazeux d'une zone de déshydrogénation d'hydrocarbures, contenant normalement des oléfines gazeuses, des traces de composés aromatiques mononucléaires et polynucléaires, en refroidissant cet effluent gazeux afin de condenser au moins une partie de celui-ci, jusqu'à 5 % en poids, et en introduisant le circuit refroidi ainsi obtenu dans un séparateur liquide/vapeur afin de produire un circuit de vapeur, contenant normalement des oléfines gazeuses et ayant une teneur réduite en composés aromatiques polynucléaires, et un circuit liquide, contenant des composés aromatiques mononucléaires et polynucléaires.
