Docket No.: 60SI-1471 Abstract of the Disclosure A method is provided for preparing a polyalkoxysilyl-terminated polydiorganosiloxane having higher viscosity and improved stability in viscosityover long storage periods, comprising reacting (A) at least one silanol- terminated polydiorganosiloxane; and (B) at least one polyalkoxysilane; the reaction being conducted in the presence of (C) a catalytic amount of an acidic amine salt; and (D) an effective amount of an organic formate. In addition, the present invention provides a method for making such polyalkoxysilyl-terminated silicone compositions, as well as shelf-stable, one component RTV's containing these compositions.
