The welding torch or gun is the element through which flows the welding wire provided by an automatic supplier or reeler, the neutral protection gas around the welding arc, the torch having a nozzle where the arc is produced. According to the invention, the support or body (23) of the gun is made of a high heat resistant and dielectric or insulating material which is also shock resistant thereby impeding internal contact formation. The gun tube (22) is made of solid copper intended to reduce its resistivity and the generation of heat during the passage of high currents, so that the torch can operate with currents of up to 400 A without refrigeration. Externally the gun body (23) is provided with a nylon washer (20) which is intended to optimize the adjustment to the holding support on the machine. The external refrigeration conduits which are included in the gun body (23) are used for air injection purposes in order to eliminate projections (17) which could enter inside the nozzle and creating a contact.
L'invention concerne une torche ou pistolet de soudage, à savoir l'élément qui permet l'écoulement du fil de soudure provenant d'un dispositif d'alimentation automatique ou dévideur, qui laisse échapper le gaz constituant un espace de protection neutre autour de l'arc de soudage, et dont la buse produit l'arc. Selon l'invention, le support ou corps (23) du pistolet est constitué d'un matériau extrêmement résistant à la chaleur, diélectrique ou isolant, résistant également aux chocs, empêchant ainsi tout contact intérieur. Le tube du pistolet (22) est en cuivre massif, ce qui permet de réduire sa résistivité et la génération de chaleur lors du passage de courants élevés, compte tenu que le soudage peut être réalisé avec des courants pouvant atteindre les 400 A, sans refroidissement. Le corps du pistolet (23) comporte, à l'extérieur, une rondelle de nylon (20) destinée à optimiser son ajustage sur le support de serrage de la machine. Les conduits de refroidissement extérieurs, inclus dans le corps du pistolet (23), servent à injecter de l'air, de manière à éliminer les projections (17) susceptibles de pénétrer dans la tuyère et d'induire un contact.
