A device for atomizing liquids containing a rotatable hollow cylinder for the reception of the liquid to be atomized and a drive for the rotation of the hollow cylinder is provided. The cylinder casing has a plurality of circular hole-type nozzles. The cylinder is closed at its lower end and has an opening at its upper end for the delivery of the liquid to be atomized as well as optionally a feed conduit for the liquid to be atomized, with the feed conduit being rotatable with the cylinder, its longitudinal axis coinciding with the axis of rotation of the cylinder and its end being directed close to the cylinder floor of the cylinder mantle.
