A high-pressure jet spray apparatus having a nozzle coupled to a tube having a nozzle end and an opposing butt end. A slide is slidably engaged with the tube for adjusting distance between the butt end and the slide. Left and right arms are pivotally secured to the slide, and the arms can pivot axially coplanar with the tube and axially transverse to the tube. Left and right handles are pivotally connected to the left and right arms, respectively. The handles are also rotatable. A stock is provided on the butt end for resting the apparatus against the operator's body. A control system is provided for controlling flow of the media, wherein switches are activated by pressing on levers or grips provided in each handle and the butt end of the tube. A selector switch on the stock allows selection of any two of the three switches. The handles, and consequently the switches, can be placed in numerous positions that are ergonomically comfortable for an operator. The apparatus is adjustable for specific job requirements. The apparatus accommodates operators of different physical size, and an operator can adjust the apparatus for use in different positions to avoid fatigue.
Cette invention concerne un appareil d'arrosage haute pression formé d'un tube ayant à un bout un ajutage et l'autre bout une crosse. Un coulisseau monté sur le tube permet de régler la distance entre la crosse et les bras de manoeuvre de l'appareil disposés de part et d'autre du tube et montés à pivot sur celui-ci de manière à pouvoir pivoter vers l'avant ou l'arrière dans le plan longitudinal du tube et autour d'un axe transversal au tube. Chacun des bras de manoeuvre porte une poignée pivotante et rotative en même temps. La crosse porte une plaque de couche à appuyer contre le corps de l'opérateur. Un système de commande permet de régler le débit, les commandes étant transmises en appuyant sur des manettes ou des boutons ménagés sur chaque poignée et dans la crosse de l'appareil. Un sélecteur sur la crosse permet de rendre opérant deux des trois organes de commande. Les poignées et, par conséquent, les organes de commande peuvent être orientées dans de nombreuses directions ergonomiquement satisfaisantes pour l'opérateur. L'appareil peut être utilisé par des personnes de taille différente et réglé à différentes positions pour éviter la fatigue.
