An analyte test element for determining the concentration of at least one analyte in a physiological sample fluid having a first and a second surface in a predetermined distance opposite from each other, said both surfaces are provided with two substantially equivalent patterns forming areas of high and low surface energy which are aligned mostly congruent, whereby the areas with high surface energy create a sample distribution system with at least two detection areas, characterized in that the detection areas of first and second surface are also provided with two corresponding patterns of working and reference electrodes of electrochemical detection means. The sample distribution system contained in the inner part of the analyte test element has no mechanical and/or structural features resembling walls, groves, or channels to guide the physiological fluid to the detection areas which leads to an easy, cost efficient and reliable production process. Due to the integrated calibration procedure the analyte test system of the present invention provides reliable results regardless of the blood type, haematocrit level, temperature etc~
L'invention porte sur un dispositif d'analyse permettant de déterminer la concentration d'au moins un analyte dans un échantillon de fluide physiologique présentant une première et une deuxième surface opposées et à une à une distance prédéterminée, lesdites surfaces présentant deux motifs sensiblement équivalents et formant des aires d'énergie surfacielle respectivement élevée et réduite, alignées et quasiment en correspondance. Lesdites aires constituent un système de distribution d'échantillons à au moins deux surfaces de détection, et caractérisé en ce que les aires de détection de la première et de la deuxième surface sont également dotées de deux motifs correspondants d'électrodes de travail et de référence du moyen électrochimique de détection. Ledit système, contenu dans la partie intérieure du dispositif d'analyse, ne comporte pas d'éléments mécaniques et/ou structurels tels que des parois, des rainures ou des canaux de guidage du fluide physiologique vers les aires de détection, d'où un processus de production facile, économique et fiable. De plus, en raison du processus d'étalonnage intégré, ledit système fournit des résultats fiables, indépendamment du type de sang, du niveau d'hématocrites, de la température, etc.
