ABSTRACT A clip 10 is made from a length of resilient material which is typically in this case stainless spring steel wire and has opposed free ends 11 and 12 arranged in spaced apart mutually confronting relation when the connector is open, the free ends 11 and 12 being biased apart by the inherent resilience in the spring steel wire, the free ends have respective co-operating catch means which comprise a hook 13 and a loop 14 so that the free ends can be manually moved together against the inherent bias in the spring steel until the loop 14 engages and slidably moves over the hook 13 as the hook resiliently moves downward to snap the loop 14 and hook 13 into place where they are held by virtue of the bias in the spring steel wire.
