An induction heating cooker has a rectifier for producing pulsating DC current, an inverter which receives the pulsating current given from the rectifier and produces a high frequency output current, and a load circuit including an output coil and a resonance capacitor connected in series to receive a high frequency output signal from the inverter. The variation or adjustment of output electromagnetic power is made by changing the duty ratio of the high frequency output current of the inverter by giving variable duty ratio setting signals to switching elements in the inverter. The frequency of the high frequency output current of the inverter is fixed and, therefore, unpleasant interference sound is not generated upon parallel simultaneous operation of more than one cooker.
