The invention relates to a spur gear for straight-cut or helical-cut running gears in which the gearing is corrected only up to a gear face while forming an end relief (w) or a crowning. Two inventive spur gears of a corresponding gear pair are assigned to one another with the correction thereof on opposing gear faces.
