The present invention is directed to a bicycle pedal comprising a pedal body (2) rotatably supported by a pedal shaft (1), the pedal body (2) has planar pedal surfaces; a pivotable clamp member (4) generally perpendicular to the surfaces of the pedal, the clamp member (4) comprising a central contact surface (9) and a clamping means (8) located at a lengthwise end of the clamp member (4) which extends out from a surface plane of the pedal for clamping to a cleat, the clamping means (8) further providing a slidable guided surface (14) acting in an arc-like way to perform a jaw-like movement; and urging means (6) disposed against the clamp member (4) such that it contacts a central contact surface of the clamp member (4) for urging the clamp member (4) inwardly.
L'invention concerne une pédale de bicyclette qui comprend ce qui suit: un corps de pédale (2) montée rotative sur un axe de pédale (1), le corps de pédale (2) possédant des surfaces planes; un élément d'accrochage pivotant (4) généralement perpendiculaire aux surfaces de la pédale, l'élément d'accrochage (4) comprenant une surface centrale de contact (9) et un système d'accrochage (8) monté sur une extrémité allongée de l'élément d'accrochage (4) qui s'étend depuis un plan de surface de la pédale de manière à s'accrocher à un crampon, le système d'accrochage (8) comprenant en outre une surface glissante guidée (14) qui fonctionne comme une voie en forme d'arc destinée à effectuer un mouvement du type de celui des mâchoires; et un système de sollicitation (6) disposé contre l'élément d'accrochage (4) de manière à ce que celui-ci entre en contact avec la surface centrale de contact de l'élément d'accrochage (4) afin de le pousser vers l'intérieur.
