The invention relates to a method for determining the wood/bark ratio from a flow of wood material (1), in which the flow is illuminated in a non-flashing manner, scanned along a transverse line with a video camera (2) with at least three channels, the line image corresponding to the line is digitalized into pixels each of which comprise intensity information, the intensity classes corresponding to the wood and the bark are determined in each channel and the pixels belonging to each class are calculated with the help of their intensity- information, and the wood/bark ratio is determined by the number of pixels situated in the different intensity classes. The dynamics of each channel are at least 10, most profitably 12 bit.
La présente invention concerne un procédé d'évaluation du rapport bois/écorce dans un flux de matériau ligneux (1). En l'occurrence, on éclaire le flux de façon non clignotante et on l'examine le long d'une ligne transversale au moyen d'une caméra vidéo (2) disposant d'au moins trois canaux. On numérise l'image de ligne correspondant à la ligne, ce qui donne des pixels dont chacun comprend une information d'intensité. Dans chaque canal, on détermine les classes d'intensité correspondant au bois et à l'écorce. On calcule alors les pixels appartenant à chaque classe avec l'aide de leur information d'intensité. Pour avoir le rapport bois/écorce, on s'appuie sur le nombre de pixels situés dans les différentes classes d'intensité. La dynamique de chaque canal est d'au moins 10 bits, et de préférence 12 bits.
