2050337 9014662 PCTABS00002 The present invention provides an improved magnetic recording medium comprising a non-magnetic support with at least one magnetic layer comprising a magnetizable pigment dispersed in a binder composition. The binder composition of the present invention comprises a block copolymer, having a hard segment, with a glass transition temperature (Tg) of greater than about 70·C, and a soft segment, having a Tg of less than about -30·C. The binder composition of the present invention has relatively stable physical properties over a range of temperatures, preferably at least 50·C and more preferably at least 100·C.
