The present invention relates to a porcine alpha-S1-casein gene, a porcine alpha-S1-casein gene promoter, an expression comprising the same promoter, and a method for the production of a target protein using the same expression vector. The promoter of the present invention facilitates the mammary gland-specific expression of the target protein. Accordingly, an animal transformed with the promoter secretes the target protein in milk at high concentration, and thus can be advantageously used for the production of useful proteins.

La présente invention concerne un gène de la caséine alpha-S1 porcine, un promoteur de ce gène ainsi qu'un procédé de production d'un vecteur d'expression faisant intervenir ce promoteur, et une protéine cible utilisant ce vecteur d'expression. Le promoteur de la présente invention promeut l'expression à spécificité mammaire de la protéine cible. Ainsi, cette invention offre l'avantage que des animaux génétiquement modifiés au moyen dudit promoteur sécrètent la protéine cible à forte concentration dans le lait et peuvent être utilisés avec profit pour la production de protéines utiles.
