2064781 9104210 PCTABS00003 A conveyor consisting of a U-shaped stationary means (1) with the opening upwards. It contains two U-shaped rails (2, 3), which are arranged over each other and have the openings facing each other. The rails (2, 3) can be reciprocated as a unit in the rod-shaped means (1) by means of a handle (4). Further, the upper edge of the upper rail (3) can be lifted upwardly above the U-shaped stationary means (1) by lifting means when the rails (2, 3) are mutually displaced in longitudinal direction. The lifting means (5-11) consist of inclined faces (7, 10) (or optionally (8, 9)) and a circular disc (11) rolling thereon to provide a suitable mechanical gear ratio to reduce the lifting force.
