A kit which includes a perfluorocarbon liquid and a microparticulate medicament dispersed in a gas is used in the treatment of a pulmonary condition in a mammal. The kit is used in a multiple step method for delivering the medicament to the lungs. In this method, a biocompatible perfluorocarbon liquid is introduced into the lungs and a microparticulate medicament is introduced into the lungs where it is dispersed into the pulmonary spaces which are filled or coated with the perfluorocarbon liquid.

Un kit comprenant un perfluorocarbone liquide et un médicament microparticulaire dispersé dans un gaz est utilisé pour traiter un état pathologique pulmonaire chez un mammifère. Le kit est utilisé dans un procédé à étapes multiples pour administrer le médicament aux poumons. Dans ce procédé, un perfluorocarbone liquide biocompatible est introduit dans les poumons et un médicament microparticulaire est introduit dans les poumons où il se disperse dans les espaces pulmonaires qui sont remplis ou revêtus du perfluorocarbone liquide.
