An article of manufacture includes an oxygen scavenger and poly(lactic acid). The article can be in the form of a film, coating, gasket, liner insert, sealant or fibrous matte. A film includes at least one layer including an oxygen scavenger, and at least one layer including poly(lactic acid). A package can be made from the film for enclosing an oxygen-sensitive article such as food. The poly(lactic acid) blocks the migration of odor causing byproducts of the oxygen scavenging process. A method includes providing a film including at least one layer including an oxygen scavenger; and at least one layer including the poly(lactic acid); and exposing the film to actinic radiation. A method for reducing migration of organoleptically significant compounds is also disclosed.
La présente invention porte sur un article fabriqué comprenant un désoxygénant et un polymère à teneur en acide lactique. Ledit article peut avoir la forme d'un film, d'un revêtement, d'un joint, d'une doublure, d'un insert, d'un produit d'étanchéité ou d'une matte à fibres. Le film est composé d'au moins une couche contenant un désoxygénant et d'au moins une couche contenant un polymère à teneur en acide lactique. Il peut être utilisé pour la fabrication d'un emballage destiné à contenir un article sensible à l'oxygène, tel qu'un produit alimentaire. Le polymère à teneur en acide lactique bloque la migration de sous-produits de la désoxygénation qui sont à l'origine d'odeurs. La présente invention porte également sur un procédé qui consiste à utiliser un film composé d'au moins une couche contenant un désoxygénant et d'au moins une couche contenant le polymère à teneur en acide lactique; et à exposer ce film à une radiation actinique. Elle porte enfin sur un procédé de réduction de la migration de composés significatifs en termes de propriétés organoleptiques.
