A single chamber fuel cell comprised of a cell arranged in a mixed fuel gas comprised of hydrogen or another fuel gas and oxygen, wherein the cell used is a pn junction type semiconductor having electrodes of a p- type semiconductor with carriers of holes and an n-type semiconductor with carriers of electrons connected to ends of electrical takeout wires, and each of the p-type semiconductor and n-type semiconductor is formed porous to an extent enabling the mixed fuel gas to pass.

L'invention concerne une pile à combustible à chambre unique formée d'une cellule disposée dans un mélange de gaz combustible formé d'hydrogène ou d'un autre gaz combustible et d'oxygène. Dans ce type de pile on a utilisé une cellule à semi-conducteur à jonction PN munie d'électrodes d'un semi-conducteur du type P avec porteurs de trous et un semiconducteur du type N avec porteurs d'électrons raccordés aux extrémités des fils de branchement électrique. Chaque semi-conducteur du type P et semi-conducteur du type N est formé d'une substance poreuse permettant, dans une certaine mesure, le passage du mélange de gaz combustible.
