ABSTRACT Epoxy resins containing aliphatic, non- hydrolyzable chlorine atoms are prepared by hydrochlorinating an epoxy resin thereby forming a chlorohydrin intermediate product; reacting this intermediate product with epichlorohydrin in the presence of a Lewis acid; and dehydrochlorinating the resultant product.
