An illuminated surgical retractor (10) for defining and illuminating a subcutaneous surgical field in the space near a vessel (such as the saphenous vein or radial artery) during a procedure for harvesting the vessel, wherein the illuminated surgical retractor includes a handle member (20) pivotally connected at an acute angle to a first elongate section (30) that has an at least partially tapered width, and includes a second elongate section (40) relesably connected to the first elongate section, wherein a portion of the second elongate section defines an illumination input end portion, which is optically coupled to a light source to substantially illuminate the second elongate section, and further including an insertion area positioned on the proximal end portion of the first elongate section to allow the second elongate section to be inserted into the first elongate section.
L'invention concerne un écarteur chirurgical éclairé (10) permettant de définir et d'éclairer un champ chirurgical sous-cutané dans l'espace situé à proximité d'un vaisseau (tel que la veine saphène ou l'artère radiale) pendant une intervention, aux fins de prélèvement du vaisseau. L'écarteur chirurgical éclairé comprend un élément de poignée (20) relié pivotant au niveau d'un angle aigu à une première section allongée (30) présentant une largeur au moins partiellement tronconique et une seconde section allongée (40) connectée amovible à la première section allongée, une partie de la seconde section allongée définissant une partie terminale d'entrée d'éclairage, couplée optiquement à une source lumineuse, de manière à éclairer sensiblement la seconde section allongée, ainsi qu'une zone d'introduction positionnée sur la partie terminale proximale de la première section allongée, afin de permettre d'introduire la seconde section allongée dans la première section allongée.
