A process is described for producing a polypeptide heterologous to E. coli wherein E. coli cells comprising nucleic acid encoding the polypeptide are cultured in a culture medium while feeding to the culture medium a transportable organophosphate, such that the nucleic acid is expressed. The polypeptide is then recovered from the cells.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour produire un polypeptide hétérologue à E. coli, les cellules de E. coli comprenant des acides nucléiques codant pour le polypeptide, qui sont cultivés dans un milieu de culture pendant qu'on alimente le milieu de culture avec un organophosphate transportable, de manière à ce que l'acide nucléique soit exprimé. Le polypeptide est alors récupéré à partir des cellules.
