An assembly for securing two bodies is described, the assembly comprises a first body, the first body having a mouth portion for receiving a second body, and means for securing the first body to the second body, and means for sealing the first body against the second body, the securing means comprising, a first securing member for engagement with the second body, wherein the first securing member is for at least partial location inside the mouth portion and has means for engagement with the first body thereby to prevent removal of the second body from the mouth portion of the first body. The assembly may be a connector for joining two or more pipes or a coupling for joining a pipe to an operating unit such as a vehicle braking system for example.

L'invention concerne un ensemble permettant de fixer solidement deux corps. Cet ensemble comprend un premier corps pourvu d'une partie bouche destinée à loger un second corps, des moyens permettant de fixer solidement le premier corps au second corps ainsi que des moyens permettant d'assurer une étanchéité entre le premier corps et le second corps. Les moyens de fixation comprennent un premier élément de fixation, conçu pour entrer en prise avec le second corps, situé au moins partiellement dans la partie bouche et comportant des moyens conçus pour entrer en prise avec le premier corps et ainsi empêcher que le second corps ne sorte de la partie bouche du premier corps. Cet ensemble peut se présenter sous la forme d'un connecteur permettant de réunir plusieurs tuyaux, ou d'un raccord destiné à relier un tuyau à une unité de fonctionnement telle qu'un système de freinage d'un véhicule.
