The present invention relates to new tetrahydro-.beta.-carbolin-sulfonamide derivatives of general formula (I), optionally in form of one of their stereoisomers, preferably enantiomers or diastereomers, their racemates or in form of a mixture of at least two of their stereoisomers, preferably enantiomers or diastereomers, in any mixing ratio, or corresponding physiologically acceptable salts or corresponding solvates. These compounds are suitable as pharmacologically active agents in a medicament for the prophylaxis and/or treatment of disorders or diseases related to 5-HT6 receptors. The invention also relates to two different methods for obtaining the mentioned compounds and to pharmaceutical compositions containing them.

La présente invention concerne des nouveaux dérivés de tétrahydro-.beta.-carbolinesulfonamide de formule générale (I), facultativement sous forme d'un de leurs stéréoisomères, de préférence d'un de leurs énantiomères ou diastéréoisomères, de leurs mélanges racémiques ou sous la forme d'un mélange d'au moins deux de leurs stéréoisomères, de préférence de leurs énantiomères ou diastéréoisomères, en n'importe quelle proportion de mélange, ou des sels physiologiquement acceptables correspondants ou des solvates correspondants. Ces composés conviennent comme agents actifs du point de vue pharmacologique dans un médicament pour la prophylaxie et/ou le traitement de troubles ou maladies liées aux récepteurs 5-HT6. L'invention concerne également deux procédés différents servant à obtenir les composés mentionnés et des compositions pharmaceutiques les contenant.
