A method and system for aggregating individual client requests into sessions over a stateless protocol by the server assigning session specific data to a plurality of anonymous clients and causing said clients to accept that session specific data which is retained and forwarded by said clients on subsequent requests to the server in a manner defined in the protocol. This session specific data may be used by the server to associate additional information with requests from a particular client to determine its responses to the client or perform tasks requested by the client. The server may further associate the session with particular privileges by accepting an account login from the client which the server associates with certain privileges.
