Use of a combination of two vitamin compounds, i.e. riboflavin (also known as vitamin B2) and nicotinic acid (also referred to as niacin) or, as an alternative thereto, the corresponding amide, i.e. nicotinamide or niacinamide (also known as vitamin PP) for the systemic treatment of various forms of itching, such as, e.g., pruritus associated with renal insufficiency or failure (i.e. uremic pruritus), and of pruritus forms that are not connected with primary organic affections, as well as for the treatment of a number of non-infective internal affections of a substantially inflammatory nature, such as e.g., urticaria and/or angioedema, asthma, allergic rhinitis and allergic oculorhinitis.
L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'une combinaison de deux composés de vitamines, à base de riboflavine (également connue sous le nom de vitamine B2) et d'acide nicotinique (également dénommé niacine), ces vitamines pouvant éventuellement être remplacées par l'amide correspondante, à savoir la nicotinamide ou la niacinamide (également connue sous le nom de vitamine PP). Cette combinaison est utilisée pour le traitement systémique de diverses formes de démangeaisons, par exemple le prurit associé à l'insuffisance rénale (autrement dit le prurit urémique), ou de différentes formes de prurit sans lien avec une quelconque maladie organique primitive. Cette combinaison permet par ailleurs de traiter plusieurs maladies internes non infectieuses de nature sensiblement inflammatoire, comme l'urticaire et/ou l'oedème de Quincke, l'asthme, les rhinites allergiques, et les rhinites oculaires allergiques.
